The High-level Postgraduate Program is a full-time scholarship funded by the Chinese Government. It supports international students with strong academic backgrounds, professional skills, and potential for future growth to pursue master's and doctoral degrees in China.

Beihang University is one of the host institutions for this program and handles candidate selection and recommendations.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  1. Be citizens of a country other than China (PRC) and in good physical and mental health.

  2. Hold a bachelor's degree and be under 35 years old when applying for a master’s program.

  3. Hold a master's degree and be under 40 years old when applying for a doctoral program.

  4. Have HSK Level 4 or higher for Chinese-taught programs. Applicants with degrees from QS or ARWU Top 500 universities are highly encouraged.

Required Documents

  1. Application Form: Fill out the Chinese Government Scholarship application form in Chinese or English.

  2. Passport Copy: Ensure your passport is valid until at least September 2025. Renew it if needed before applying.

  3. Highest Diploma: Provide a notarized copy. If you haven’t graduated yet, submit proof of student status. Documents not in Chinese or English must be translated and notarized.

  4. Academic Transcripts: Submit transcripts from undergraduate to doctoral studies (if applicable), sealed by the issuing institution. Non-English documents require notarized translations.

  5. Language Proficiency Certificate: Provide HSK Level 4 or higher for Chinese-taught programs or valid English proficiency scores (e.g., IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 90, or Duolingo 105). GRE scores are optional but recommended.

  6. Acceptance Letter: Contact a Beihang University supervisor for this letter. Upload it in the "Pre-admission Letter" section of the CSC system. Download format.

  7. Study Plan: Submit a detailed study plan (1,000+ words), signed by your prospective Chinese supervisor for doctoral applications. Download format.

  8. Recommendation Letters: Two letters from professors or associate professors describing your academic ability, research skills, and potential for growth.

  9. Art Portfolio (if applicable): Submit your works directly or through the system for art/design-related programs.

  10. Physical Examination Form: Complete the official Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Ensure it is stamped and signed by a certified doctor. Download form.

  11. Non-Criminal Record: Provide a certificate issued within six months of your application date.

  12. Integrity Commitment Letter: Download template.

  13. Resume: Include explanations for any gaps in study or work experience.

  14. Document List: Confirm and attach the list of required documents. Download list.

Important Notes

  • All uploaded documents must be clear and authentic. Use a professional scanner for clarity.

  • Documents must be in Chinese or English. Attach notarized translations if needed.

  • Application reviews begin only after submission of the application fee receipt or successful payment.

  • Any falsified documents will result in immediate disqualification.
